On Desserts: More than I Can Chew

I don’t want to take in more than the calories required of my body. Besides maintaining 43 to 45 kilograms of weight as my normal per ideal body mass index, I am more uptight in seeing that I am in good shape-- most of the time!

But more than just having flat tummies and body curves, I also reckon on the fact that eating desserts once in a while will help lighten stress.

Endorphins are natural hormones that block pain and create a sense of pleasure. For most, it’s what people call the “happy hormones”.  Desserts on this regard are one of the highest contributors of bodily chemicals that lead to the release of endorphins in the body giving us a feeling of euphoria.

Some of the sweet treats in my favorites-list include Jollibee’s Rocky Road Brownie and Iced Choco of Libro Atbp, a place for reading books of varied classifications at the same time for tasting pastries and cold drinks.

Something new to cover in the list is the dessert which KFC has completed in the success of their Streetwise Value Menu Campaign with a new sweet course-- the Streetwise Spoonfuls Desserts.

Four spoonful desserts were added on the menu namely:

  • Chocolate Mousse
  • Choco Banana Pie
  • Chocolate Tiramisu
  • Mango Cheesecake
Each only costs PHP 29.00 or $0.68. The Spoonfuls desserts can play with combinations of whipped cream, chocolates and crust or tid bits of fruits (mangoes and banana) that either one overpowers the other which may work to your advantage to see which one suits your taste well.

Choosing from the line of delectable desserts, streetwise spoonfuls desserts are one of the creamiest to give you a melting and a crumbing experience in your tongue.

Feed your sweet tooth regardless of your age, for so long as you taste it not binge it. You’ll be way to go relieving yourself from stress. As for myself, I think I’m going to nibble it!

Craving!
