I made a run at including these personal random things about me on my About page before. But I realized that combining the two (information about the blog and my personal details) will either bore potential readers, or bore them more with things that they don't want to know in the first 60 seconds.
My goal is to make the whole getting-to-know-the-blog-and-the-author thing as direct and fun as possible. Down here are casual details about myself. I hope you'll get to know me better, no matter how senseless some of them may be. And I'm sure excited to get to know you, too. Just hit the comments below.

- What do you prefer to be called? Sy. It just sounds more personal to me.
- Most recent frustration. I have several books begging to be read.
- What's your most useless skills? I can twist my tongue sideways.
- What do you consider unforgivable? An unsaved document during a brownout.
- One secret you never told your friends? That I tend to look for myself first in our group picture. Tee hee!
- Most important wake-up ritual. Cat-stretch! #breather
- Recent song on your playlist? The Christmas Song by Beegie Adair. It's a jazz piano. I love jazz music and I love Christmas!
- Do you watch Downtown Abbey? Yes.
- What did you want to grow up to be as a child? A Broadway actress.
- Favorite book (s) in the bible. Corinthians, Sirach, Genesis, Proverbs, John, and James.
- Smoker? No.
- What's your favorite food? A very good Poulet et oeufs poches (Chicken and poached eggs in English!)
- Biggest fear in life. Become a tiger mom. Or Adolf Hitler. Or regret a lot until I age.
- How many times do you look at yourself in the mirror? I'm trying not to look as much as I can, especially on car windows. #awkward
- Say something totally random about yourself. I hate myself for spilling a half glass of water on Bridget Jones' Diary today.
- Which animals scare you most? Why? Slimy crawlers. Combination of dirty, nervy, and can-be fatal.
- What's your favorite pastime? Reading a good book in a cozy noshery nearby.
- Why is your blog called Pens n' Paper? Because it's the essential and nice things I learn everyday which I write on a piece of paper, that I extend online for other people to read and be inspired with.
- What magazines do you read? Favorite Picks: Luxury Travel & Lifestyle, Lifestyle Asia Travel, Real Living, Good Housekeeping, Smart Parenting, Condo Living, Metro Homes, Yummy, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, InStyle. Every once in a while: Reader's Digest and Time.
